Juvenile Mockingbird | Manvel, Texas Photographer

I saw this  young bird in the side yard. It was whistling up a storm.

I soon realized this was a juvenile mockingbird. He was a little rounder and more fluffy than the adults I normally see around here. I was walking with two cats and he seemed to have little fear.  He was about ten feet from us and never budged he just kept singing.

He put on quite a show I wish I had recorded his whistles. I can not seem to master doing two things at once.

The birds have been happy with the sunshine and warmer days as much as the rest of us have been.

When your outdoors listen to the sounds of the birds. There will always be a few that stand out more than others. There is nothing more beautiful than the sound of nature.
