Juvenile Blue Jay | Sonya Lira Photography

I have been seeing a lot of baby and juvenile birds at the feeders. This time I was able to capture a juvenile blue jay.

There is something about the way the feathers are on a blue jay that makes them so beautiful. They have rather large heads and beaks compared to many of the other birds in our area of Texas. The juvenile’s appear to be short and stocky as they get older they seem to become much longer and larger birds.

I love watching the birds there is something so peaceful about them.
