Hummingbird Buzz | Manvel, Texas Photographer

It is time to get the hummingbird feeders out for our little friends. I had not seen any for a few days and I wondered if I had put the feeders out to early. Once I made that comment the next day they were here.

I have managed to get some good shots but this one is probably my favorite.

This was taken from indoors shooting out the french doors and the feeder was about 15 feet away. The shutter speed on this image was 1/1600 of a second.  Always remember to stop motion your shutter speed must be fast.

I love hummingbirds they truly amaze me. Their colors are beautiful and if your lucky you get a to capture a image of one.

  1. I never see a group of more than two and sometimes I think they go in the front yard, then the side yard and then the back yard. I have seen people put all the feeders in one location I wonder from a photography stand point if that would be better? We have out 4 feeders I think I have a few more but I am not sure I want to keep up with that many of them.

    • I get up early everyday then once its daylight I feed the wild birds and the outside cats. Today it was a bit foggy off in the distance but that pasture grass just stood out. I love taking pictures of grasses like that. I have a fog pictures in the distance but I honestly liked this one better. Thank You.
